Sometimes the best love stories begin with a little help from someone who knows you best. Amy and Joe were introduced by Amy’s mom, Michele, while she was working at a bank in Stuart. Little did she know that introduction would be the beginning of now 16 years strong.

Their first date was at the Dolphin Bar in Jensen Beach, and since then, they’ve built a life filled with family, travel, laughter, and plenty of adventures. Over the years, they’ve traveled together to North Carolina and Louisiana, made countless trips to the Florida Keys—including summer trips with the kids when they were younger—and most recently experienced an unforgettable adventure in Alaska.

When they aren’t traveling, Amy and Joe are happiest at home in Fellsmere at the place they call “The Plantation.” Together, they enjoy tending to their garden and fruit trees, caring for their chickens, and enjoying the life they’ve created there.

Family has always been a big part of their story. Amy is mom to Collin, Dylan and Cassidy, and Joe is dad to Skyler and Taylor. Through the years, their families have grown together right alongside their relationship.

After all those years and adventures together, Joe planned one particularly special trip to North Carolina. While staying in a cozy cabin, he proposed to Amy on her birthday, by the fireplace—adding one more unforgettable memory to their story.

Now, after 16 years together, Amy and Joe are so excited to make it official and begin this next chapter surrounded by the family and friends who have been part of their journey. They can’t wait to celebrate with all of you in Vero Beach!
